Mr. Ethridge was born and raised in Three Points, a community southwest of Tucson, where he attended Catholic schools from first to twelfth grade. He then attended the University of California, Davis where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. After working with special needs children for two years, Mr. Ethridge decided to pursue a teaching degree. Dan taught in Bisbee, Arizona for four years before moving to Tucson with his wife, Leanne to raise a family. He was a teacher for seventeen years prior to becoming a principal.
Mr. Ethridge has been in Catholic education for the last nineteen years and this is his seventh year at Ville de Marie Academy. Dan and Leanne have ten children and eleven grandchildren. His youngest child is currently a senior at Ville de Marie Academy and two of his children are VdM graduates. Mr. Ethridge enjoys the Catholic atmosphere the most and feels very blessed to be a part of this wonderful school! The most favorite part of his day (excluding Mass) is meeting every child at the door every morning with the saint of the day.
